Cardful

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These terms cover the Cardful browser extension, the website at cardful.xyz, and the optional Cardful Pro subscription. Using any of them means you accept them. If you do not, do not install the extension.

Cardful is operated from the United States. Questions about anything here go to keys@cardful.xyz.

What Cardful is

Cardful tells you which of the credit cards you already hold is likely to earn the most on a given purchase, using published reward rates that are recorded in the extension itself.

It is not financial advice. A recommendation is arithmetic over a rate table, not a judgement about your finances. It does not know your balance, your interest rate, your credit limit or whether carrying a balance would cost you more than any reward is worth. Decisions about which card to use, and whether to spend at all, are yours.

We are not affiliated with any card issuer or network. American Express, Chase, Citi, Capital One, Discover, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Visa, Mastercard and every other name that appears in the product belongs to its owner, and is used only to describe the cards you told us you carry. No issuer sponsors, endorses or reviews Cardful.

Rates change without notice, and we can be wrong. We check rates against issuers regularly, date every card with when it was last confirmed, and show you a warning on any card we have not confirmed. That is a real effort, not a guarantee. Before you rely on a number for anything that matters, confirm it with your issuer — their terms govern what you actually earn, not ours.

What is free, and stays free

The recommendation itself is free and always will be: ranking, every merchant, the checkout overlay, unlimited cards, rotating categories, the cheat sheet and your own point valuations. We will not put the answer behind a payment.

Cardful Pro

Pro is $14.99 per year. It covers the labour-saving features — automatically activating card offers, the offers dashboard and syncing between your devices.

Your data

Short version: the extension sends nothing anywhere unless you switch on sync, and with sync on the server holds ciphertext it cannot read. The full account, including exactly what the extension reads on a page and what it refuses to, is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Two consequences worth stating here because they are not reversible:

What we do not promise

Cardful is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will work with every website, or that every rate in it is current.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any reward you did not earn, fee you were charged, or purchase you made after reading a recommendation. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which for most people is nothing, and at most $14.99.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep whatever rights your local law gives you regardless of what this says.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend or stop serving someone who is attacking the service, reselling licence keys, or breaking the law with it — and if we ever shut Cardful down, we will say so by email to Pro subscribers and refund the unused part of the year.

Changes

We will update this page when these terms change and move the date at the top. A change that materially reduces what you get as a Pro subscriber will be sent to you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel and be refunded the unused part of the year if you do not accept it.
